The Beck Lake Trail is accessed via the overlapping Pacific Crest and John Muir trails from the Devils Postpile Trailhead in the Devils Postpile National Monument. From its junction with the John Muir Trail, above Minaret Falls, the Beck Lake Trail climbs steeply through the Ansel Adams Wilderness toward Iron Mountain and the Southern end of the Ritter Range, offering access to Superior and Beck Lakes with optional side trips to Holcomb and Ashley Lakes.
