A popular trail for families and fishermen, this classic two-mile loop hugs the shore all the way around iconic Convict Lake, meandering through open sagebrush country and groves of pine and aspen, with the sheer granite scarps of Mt. Morrison and Laurel Mountain rising above. The trail can be walked in either direction, from the marina or the parking area at pavement's end (between which points there is an ADA accessible paved path). There is a short hill to be climbed on the northeast shore and a boardwalk bridge over Convict Creek in the aspens at the far end of the lake.
