Horseshoe Lake Loop 1.5 mi

Trail adopted by: Footloose Sports • Trail maintained by: Deanna Clark - Mammoth Property Finder

  • Starting from the Horseshoe Lake parking area, this is an easy native-dirt and gravel loop perfect for kids, families and beginner mountain bikers. The trail, which varies from road width to single track, follows the contours of the lakeshore around the south side of the lake and then meanders through lodgepole pine forest to the Lakes Basin Path for a quick final paved section back to the trailhead. There are bridges and several easy stream crossings, meadows, picnic spots, sandy-beach access and good views of the Mammoth Crest looming above.
