This ride has a challenging section of switchbacks that require a user to have advanced skills. Leaving from Eagle Lodge, head down the switchbacks, being sure to look up and enjoy the spectacular views of Mammoth Mountain and Mammoth Crest. Follow the Town Loop across the Sherwin Street Bridge and continue on to Old Mammoth Road and the lower, flatter section of your ride. This is the first of two crossings of this busy street, so be careful! Stay in the bike lane on Old Mammoth Road, then cross over onto Waterford street, getting back on the multi use path, and continue all the way to Mammoth Creek Park. Fuel up, rest up, then it’s back onto Old Mammoth Road and Meridian and the long haul back up to Eagle Lodge. Climb up Meridian until you reach the multi-use path at Minaret. Grind your way back up the path to Eagle Lodge.
