From the restrooms and parking at Shady Rest Park to the Town Loop at Highway 203, this pleasant 1.6-mile walk follows the paved Shady Rest Path across mostly flat to gently rolling terrain—gradually up on the way out and down on the way back—through shady old-growth Jeffrey pine forest. It's a perfect stroll for families and moms with strollers but be aware of other trail users, especially cyclists. This path is a popular commute from town to the park and ball fields.
