Running

Running the Lakes Basin Path from the North Village to Twin Lakes Vista

Do you have Running Experiences you'd like to share? Find out How!

  • This run is one of the most popular and accessible in town. Though it's a persistent uphill, the grade is gradual, and being on the Lakes Basin Path, away from vehicular traffic, makes it pleasant and safe. As you leave the neighborhoods behind and pass through the tunnel, the vista opens up to spectacular views of the Mammoth Crest. Enjoy the scenery at Twin Lakes Vista - including the Lake Mamie Outfall at the tip of Upper Twin Lake - before turning around and running back to town. The return downhill trip treats you to views of the Owens Valley and the White Mountains.
