This ride is less than two miles and combines a gently rolling dirt trail with a section of the Lakes Basin Path. As you head out on the trail you'll quickly leave behind the parking lot, pets and beachgoers and enter a more serene world dominated by birdsong and the rustling of the wind in the massive pines. Listen to the brooks as you cross seven bridges crossing over the lake's various feeder streams. Upon reaching the east side of the lake, one can return to the Lakes Basin Path by continuing around the lake back to the Horseshoe Lake parking area or via the Horseshoe Woods Trail.
