The view from Minaret Vista across the Middle Fork of the San Joaquin to the Minarets, the Ritter Range and the Ansel Adams Wilderness is one of the great, iconic vistas of the American West. From the parking area take a short high-alpine stroll along the open, windswept ridgeline. Enjoy the wildflowers in early summer, and the unique views of Mammoth Mountain and back across the Long Valley Caldera to the White Mountains. Interpretive signs and viewing tubes will help you identify peaks as far away as Yosemite National Park, and to recognize geological features. Amenites include bathrooms and picnic tables.
