This excellent, though short, section of singletrack winds through the woods across the northern flank of Panorama Dome from the paved Lakes Basin Path to the switchback near the top of Old Mammoth Road. It can be ridden in either direction. With good firm soil, some minor roots and rocks to ride around or hop over, and fun turns through the trees, this is a good introduction to true cross-country singletrack mountain biking, and a favored connector between the Mammoth Rock Trail and the Lakes Trail up onto Mammoth Mountain. Please note that the Panorama Dome Hiking Trails are off limits to bikes.
