Twin Lakes Vista

  • At the crest of the first long grade on the Lakes Basin Path along Lake Mary Road, where the headwaters of Mammoth Creek tumble out of Twin Lakes, is a small parking area and viewpoint. Pause here for lovely vistas across Twin Lakes to the cascade from Lake Mamie (Twin Lakes Falls) and beyond to Crystal Crag and the Mammoth Crest. Cross the road and enjoy sweeping views across town to 14,252-foot White Mountain Peak, the third-highest peak in California. There’s a rack for locking your bike here, a shuttle stop for the town trolley and access to the Panorama Dome and Mammoth Mountain Bike Park trails.
