Dog Sledding

Dog Sledding the C Trail Out and Back

Do you have Dog Sledding Experiences you'd like to share? Find out How!

  • This is a good short out-and-back introduction to the vast Inyo Craters trail network. Starting from the Edison substation staging area just up Hwy 203 from "Woolly's Tube Park and Snow Play", the C Trail (USFS 3S89) is groomed and undulating—mostly downhill on the way out and uphill on the way back—through Jeffrey pine forest. Keep your eyes open for MMSA snowmobile trail riders coming from or returning to Main Lodge. At the junction with the Inyo Craters Road (USFS 3S22) you can opt to turn around or continue on to the craters and beyond.
